overview of what I remember ,at the moment, of the last two days

Right, so school started again. I was rather looking forward to it. I disappointed either, so that was good. Actually, I was rather surprised by the amount of people that I knew that were going to college the same time I was. It was nice to see familiar faces. Theater Appreciation is shaping up to be pretty interesting. After reviewing/learning the fundamentals/basics of theater, we're going to see some plays. Unfortunately, we have to write down our impressions and formulate essays on the subject. Writing is fine, I just don't like to write essays. Otherwise, I know a lot of the faces there as well as the instructor, Mr. Parker, so I feel pretty confident.

My Writing class is perhaps my fullest class. There are a lot of students there. I know a few from high school though so that's cool. Dr. Wild teaches that. I've had him before and he assigns (big surprise) a lot of essays. I just hope I'll write them all in time.

My Lit class is my latest class and another with a small amount of students. Livi's in that class. That's awesome. I know Jen Hanlon-Wilde, the instructor, from Friends Meeting. I was surprised to see her, but it was pretty sweet. This class too has a lot of writng involved, though there's a lot of reading as well.

I suppose I should get used to the amount of writing that college entails. I know all my instructors, which is odd but cool. I'm thinking about adding some more classes because I feel like I have too much time on my hands. Anyway, that's pretty much what I have to say so far about college. Oh, the renovation design choices are kinda odd, but I suppose I can go with it.

Late Night Shtuff

So. I've been playing SPORE fairly obsessively. It's a good game. If I get bored with Flitting through space, I can create creatures, or vice versa. Yup, good game. It's graphics aren't too demanding either.

I went to Portland today and sang Sacred Harp. It was the usual session. We sang some good stuff. Not all of it well, but we enjoyed ourselves. Mom and I ate at... the Daily Cafe. It's pretty laptop friendly, so I was glad I brought Sakukka, my trusty Macbook. The kitchen was closed from 4-5 for some reason or other, so we hung out until it opened again.

Saturday night was basically a blast. Livi, Laura, and I had a movie night at Livi's. We weren't sure what movie we'd watch, but we "decided" on Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World. The books are at least as good. At any rate, I lugged all my tech over in my awesome backpack/messenger bag. I showed off the OLPC/XO laptop to Livi's dad. He seemed interested, anyway. The movie was of course awesome, and we rounded the night off with some interneting. I took photos of course, but not my Facebook 60. Ah well...

Laura gave me a ride there and back, which was good. Her car is pretty awesome. We attacked a block of old cotton candy on the way, and made some literal dents in it.

Meh, that's all the news that coming to mind...

In the beginning...

This blog may contain anything whatsoever. I ramble.

CGCC Fall Term starts on September 22. I've been lazy all summer so I shall have to get back into the swing of things. I've got my classes finally sorted out. Note: It is important to schedule things as early as possible. Other people have the same class reqs as you. Anyway, I've got three classes, English Literature (Fiction) Writing 121, and Theater Appreciation. TA, in contrast to the other two classes, is a bit short on students. Still, I like the instructor, so it should be good. I can't wait for the next Theater Rehearsal and Performance class. We're supposed to do A Midsummer's Night Dream, which is an awesome play. Thank you Mr. Shakespeare.

Eh, that's all for now folks. Stay tuned for semi-regular postings.
