Plays and things

Sunday I saw a Play. It was called Eurydice, and it was awesome. Also, we watched a docu on Einstein on the Beach, which a tweaky piece of music theatre. Other then that, nothing new really.

I voted at about 2am Wednesday Morning. That was interesting. Willamette Week has a nice guide that helped me out a bit. The Diet Mountain Dew cans pile up and I should redeem them...

There may be a follow up post, because I can't think of anything right now...

Another Week

Another Week, another Dentistry Attack...

Coping with schoolwork, coming off an NCIS binge. I love my internet TV. In other news, I'm almost applying for a job. This week, we watched Sweeney Todd: The Musical in class. That was freaking awesome. On Sunday, we go to see Eurydice in Portland. I'm looking forward to it, though nobody else seems to be available...

Ran out of easy snackables too. Bugger all.

5 Drabbles and Dribbles

So, Livi introduced me to an idea that Maggie gave her, so I though I'd try it. I set my media player on Shuffle and let her rip. I wrote each story in the time it took for the song to play. These dribbles and drabbles were inspired by the songs that are listed with them. The order goes: Song, Artist, Album.

The ship rose upon it pillar of flame, reaching for the stars. The exultant populace watched in awe as the culmination of their dreams drew a pright line of fire in the sky. The Mammus Project had paid off. Man had reached the stars.

Aboard the ship, all was going smoothly as the ship, Bacchus, reached and surpassed the upper atmosphere, climbing into Earth Orbit. There they would stay, running tests and making observations, until they got the all-clear to head for Mars. The astronauts were driven, determined people. They would be the first humans to set foot on Mars, and they would do their species proud. It was a good day to be alive.

Traveling the world in search of adventure was simply amazing. He hadn't found any adventure yet, but he was sure it was just around the corner. His best friend was along to record all that occured. He had a sword at his side. He just needed something to swing it at.

Morrowind, etc.

So, besides having essays to write, my major meh right now is using Windows XP on my Macbook. This is necessary because I want to play my computer games. I have a lot more Windows Games than I have Mac games. I feel soiled, but Morrowind goes a long way towards negating that feeling.

Also, I have at least two events that I'm looking forward to in October. A Kamelot concert, and a performance of Eurydice. (Ooh! That was a fragment!)

Week in Review....not so!

If I actually kept notes I might remember everything.

Anyway, tonight after class I spent an hour out in the cold talking to Livi and Derek. That was fun. Also, I have to say, Analyzing/Deep Reading is tough stuff. I did my journal entry on the latest short story in between classes today. Yeah. Seems to be working so far. Also, Livi brought her computer to school today! Yeah! It does the job. I pawned off my unuseful headphones on her today too. She seems to want to pay me for them....I won't say no. Despite going to bed late last night, I managed to wake up to my first alarm at 7:30 am. Yup. I'm a winner. Livi and I got coffee, and Livi was only a little late to class. I managed to print out my assignment in Writing, which was good. Unfortunately, I forgot to do my Vocab...Jose was absent today too, leaving me the only guy at my table. Oi.

This week, I managed to get back on Skype, voice chat with friends on Skype, set up an ooVoo/Skype fusion video conference with friends, and generally have a blast. Also, I carried ivy from Mom's crusade against English Ivy. I shall probably have to do that again. Also, I believe it actually rained in The Dalles. Huzzah for us! In Theater Appreciation we watched half of Tartuffe, by Moliere. Tis funny. We shall watch the rest of it later today. I look forward to that.

hmmm.... There may be a follow-up to this post...

On Wireless Hijinks

So. Today I woke up at noon, per my usual non-school schedule. Following my schedule of planning homework but not doing it, I went to my computer to surf the net, etc. Unfortunately, this was the day our wireless decided to be snotty. The computer sees the network. Can it connect to it? No. Endless frustration. I try both Leopard and XP. No luck. The wired connections work. Ergo, the wireless router is being funky. I unplug the network cable and plug that in again. No luck. I give up briefly. Do I use the time to do homework? No. I read a library book. Boundary, by Eric Flint and Ryk Spoor. Good book, read it sometime. Sentence fragments abound in this post. Anyway, after lots of doing other things, Papa unplugs the router's power cord and plugs it in again. Voila! The wireless is connectable again. My shiftless ways are saved. I'm proud that I didn't even use the computer. I can be seperated from technology without ill effects! Yay!

Right, so I had this idea that I would update my blog on Wednesdays. I was distracted by strike-era Daily Shows. Really awesome stuff. Oh, and my approach to schoolwork, ie procrastination, still seems to be working. We'll see if it holds up.
